After playing around until very late (3 am) with some box designs that were making me crazy…I…well…gave up. It was one of those days when nothing was working and I was wondering if I lost my mojo over my little “break”. Then out of frustration, I looked at my pile of Papertrey boxes I keep that my stamps come in. I pulled out the thicker size box. Papertrey Gods…you can fix mojo…right? And it just kept getting sweeter…
I know…right? This is right out of a European boutique!! I love the non- traditional Valentine’s colors too. It gives it a real Baroque feel without being sickening sweet looking. This sort of transformed over the course of making it. I had no clear vision and actually was thinking I would make the sleeve you see here, but then cover the front and cut with my exacto a porthole through the middle. As it was coming together I thought for a second. I really wanted to use as many stamps as possible. At first I thought about using large candy bars, but then I ran to my cupboard (not bare) and pulled out the Reese’s cups and played PLINKO, trying to see if they would fit. Hello…perfect!!! UGH…now there was no stopping me…ribbon and all!! What is Valentine’s without stamped ribbon??? Down the center row I added pearls to the matching outer cardstock Reese’s cups for a little something special to ground the eye and the center line. This breaks the box up with the ribbon into four quadrants. I just thought it looked nice. I used double sided We R Memory Keepers BohoChic Funky Fix 12×12 cardstock so when you look through the box, you can see the other colors of the paper. Stamps are Papertrey Ink’s “Sweet Love” which I used that exact sentiment for the primary focus. Hope you “love” it.

Becky! This is AMAZING!!! PERFECT!!! I think Nichole needs to snag you as one of her DT members! Your projects are always top-notch and the quality is equal to those already on her team. (just my humble opinion) LOL!

Goodness these are awesome!! Amazing is probably the better word. And funny how not even 10 minutes ago I was going through my supplies and getting things tidy and found all my boxes from my Papertrey stamps and thinking what creative thing I could do with them – well now I don’t have to think anymore 🙂
These are so wonderful!

Holy freakin’ smokes! This is seriously amazing. Arrrgghh….I can’t believe I didn’t order that stamp set!! This is so a winner. You totally have the winning PTI design right here baby! Woohoo! Can’t wait for the next release time so I can be proven right. Guess what! I got the 2 sets I did order. Only took 12 days but that’s cause my MIL flew them here with her today. Now once the inlaws leave I can play. So happy! Not happy that they will be leaving but so happy to get back to real life and stamping again and part time work and loving life! Loving your projects and you are so inspiring me. TTYL!

WOW! These are fabulous and I agree you should be workign for Papertrey DT. I love these. I have three or four of these little boxes and wasn’t sure what to do with them and now I know! Man, I wonder if they would consider selling just the boxes! Because I think once these get out there everyone is going to be making them.
Happy New Year! TFS

They do sell these boxes I think. Just check on the measurements. They sell them so you can package your own cards, but I am not sure if the are the same measurements. Thanks for your kind comments 🙂

I agree with all the comments, simply wonderful. I, too, was wondering what could I do with the boxes. Awesome – I looooove peanut butter cups so now I gotta get the set and play too. On another note, I made the box with the Santa from the Believe set using the tutorial and one of the Lindt chocolate truffles fit in the box perfectly! My freinds were astounded that I made them. You are fantastic!!!! Thanks for sharing all your creative talent!!!!

Love it!!! You are so talented and creative! I agree with the rest…you need to be on the PTI design team! What ink did you use to stamp on the ribbon with?

This creation totally rocks. Looks like we have a new leader of the stamping pack emerging! Awesome creations from you lately girl. Keep up the good work!

Oh YUM!!! I’ve been saving those Papertrey boxes, too, not knowing what to do with them. This is a super cute idea. Now if I could only get the reese cups into the box before eating them all…
