Well… a lot of people will be getting home-made gifts this year. One of my friends started a bath product business…. so I’m going to purchase a lot of that from her. For my babysitter, I’m making a big basket filled with bath salts, bubble bath, a soft washcloth, etc. My plan is to add a little crafty flair to it all. Hopefully it will turn out like I imagine. She definitely could use some relaxation!
November 29, 2007 at 2:09 pm
The surprise that I’m giving isn’t something really expensive, or that hard-to-find whatnot that so-and-so has been wanting, but for the first time since I started stamping, I actually made a set of cards to give to my MIL for her use. Up until now, I have given hand-made items, but never cards for someone else to use and send out. Silly, I know, but I’m sure my MIL WILL be surprised!
This is a great blog candy offering…I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
November 29, 2007 at 2:16 pm
Wow, what a great giveaway!! My Christmas surprise is very silly – a little beauty set for our daughter. Why am I so excited about this? She *LOVES* watching me blowdry my hair, and this set has a little battery operated play one, along with lotion bottles and FAKE makeup (which was unbelievably hard to track down – the last thing I want my 3 YO having is real lip gloss!) I know she will be very excited when she unwraps it Christmas morning…
November 29, 2007 at 2:16 pm
I am not really sure what to get my husband this year-so that is going to be a surprise to both of us:) Does that count?
My mom and dad are really hard to buy for so my brother and I are going together and getting them one of those digital picture frames. That way they can have a picture(s) of their entire family at all times.
What awesome candy, I sure hope you pick me. I love your blog and your ideas are so fresh and creative.

Wow!!! What a generous blog candy offer! I will be surprising my son this Year with a trip to the Caribbean. We will be flying down to attend a friends wedding. I am sure that he is going to be thrilled!
November 29, 2007 at 2:19 pm
Every year my hubby makes gifts for his dad who is too hard to buy for. This year we are not only making something for his dad, but for mine as well. We are making the coolest coffee tables ever! My dad will cry! He will think it’s so cool and special that we made something for him. It will certainly surprise him! Thanks for the giveaway! These blocks look like SO much fun!
November 29, 2007 at 2:21 pm
We have already bought our Christmas presents to each other this year and are in debt up to our eyeballs, now, so the only surprise will be no presents under the tree! Well, maybe only very small ones – some sort of cool tool for my hubby, I just don’t know which one yet. Wonderful giveaway – I have been eyeing that set for a while but couldn’t justify buying it. I really enjoy seeing your wonderful creations!
November 29, 2007 at 2:27 pm
Well, it’s nothing original. But, I cannot wait to give my daughter a play kitchen. I have always been a girly-girl and have anticipated the day that I could give my child a kitchen. It’s one of those things that I LOVED as a child. I’m so excited. Thanks for the great project.
November 29, 2007 at 2:34 pm
We are surprising our kids with a DISNEY CRUISE!! We’ve bought a bunch of little Disney-themed presents and we’re wrapping them up individually, and inside one another- the last box they open will have their park passes in it!
LOVE the blog, Beck! The coasters pushed me over the edge 🙂
November 29, 2007 at 2:36 pm
Oh, I am just dying here to try some Kitchen Sink Stamps but have gone over budget at this point. This may be a second chance! The block ideas are very appealing. I really love what you have done with them. Amazing what can be made from a simple item. The suprise I purchased for my sister for Christmas is a set of stamps that are no longer available. I knew clear last Christmas how she wanted these stamps and when I found a set I snatched them up. She is still muttering about how she should have bought them a couple of years ago and how she knows she will never find a new set!
November 29, 2007 at 2:36 pm
Hello –
How wonderful. Well, we are planning to get our boys some new deer hunting supplies for next year. They don’t have a clue, and it is something they can use and will love at the same time. Can’t wait to see their faces. Thanks for sharing!
November 29, 2007 at 2:44 pm
Wow, the coasters you made are so cool! Thanks for doing a tutorial! I like how you used these for the mantel too. As for surprises, this year I am making tied flannel quilts for my four children. I’ve been intending to do it for years – oops. I even got up super early to hit JoAnn’s Fabrics the day after Thanksgiving to get the flannel and batting. The question is – when can I do it so they won’t know? Guess I’ll have some late nights! 😀 Great prize and I hope I get it! 🙂
November 29, 2007 at 3:10 pm
I am seriously considering getting my husband a new wedding band for Christmas…. although then I think it would be a better anniversary present. We were married in June 1991 and for our 15th anniversary, he surprised me with a new engagement ring. My original one was sufficient, but just not my style any more. I think he is feeling the same about his these days.
November 29, 2007 at 3:15 pm
Ohh…I’ve been eyeing these sets but have yet to jump in a purchase…this could be a wonderful opportunity try them out!
Something special for someone special at Christmas…hum…can I confess that I haven’t even thought about shopping yet! LOL! Actually, we’re going to get our two boys their very own table and chairs set, along with oodles of storage space for all their crafting, building, and making messes supplies!
Thank you!!
November 29, 2007 at 3:16 pm
Oh this is candy I would LOVE to win!!!!
My surprise for my Mom is to sponsor a child for her. I’ll pay, she’ll get the cards and letters from the little one. It’s the grandchild I won’t ever be giving her, but I hope she likes it!!
November 29, 2007 at 3:32 pm
Oh my goodness, what a fantastic giveaway. Well, my hubby is dabbling into photography and I will be getting him the essential supplies he needs. Hope I can keep the secret!!! LOL
Thanks for this chance!!

November 29, 2007 at 3:33 pm
what a great question – getting good ideas. One of my surprises (so hard to keep) is making my DMIL a crochet scarf as I’m trying to make about 75% of my gifts this year.
November 29, 2007 at 3:50 pm
I just love your site. YOu always have such beautiful artwork! I would love to win this prize! I’m trying not to spend too much money this year but have bought some fab gifts but I think the gift that will surprise is the gift that hardly cost anything. My 1 year old got his pictures taken at his daycare and they came out so cute. I didn’t show my mom and will be putting one in a frame for him to give her for Christmas. She is so in love with her grandson that I know this picture will have a place of honor on her desk at work!
November 29, 2007 at 4:07 pm
This is awesome blog candy! Hmmmmmmmm surprises. Not so much in the way of surprises this year. We noticed a need for our food bank in our area and so we will be keeping Christmas smallish so we can donate to that.

Hey Becky! I have been drooling at all your work..my jaw has always been on the floor when I see the wonderful work that you do.
My surprise this year would be for my younger sisters…I haven’t seen them in a long while and I am buying all of them beautiful jewelery. They’re not expecting anything from me, so this will be a wonderful surprise as the younger one is getting married next year..
Thanks for the fabulous candy!
November 29, 2007 at 4:21 pm
Well for a surprise I will be getting my niece a camera, she thinks she is getting a book, which she is, but also will be getting her a camera. Love these stamps thanks for the opportunity to have a chance to win a set.
November 29, 2007 at 4:22 pm
I will be surprising my girls with cameras so they can start recording how they see the world and what’s important to them. Love your coasters! Now I know what to do with those dew drops!
November 29, 2007 at 4:29 pm
Hello Becky! Oh yeah that is some amazing blog candy right there! I don’t have any of that stuff yet, so I am thinkin’ I need it lol I can’t wait to give my 16 year old her new printer and my 13 year old her new digital camera – the majority of the rest of my stuff for my family is handmade – and I better get crackin’!! LOL 🙂
November 29, 2007 at 4:34 pm
No surprises this year…we are expecting our first baby. What we did as OUR Christmas present this year is a 3D sonogram, yesterday. We saw our precious little baby boy! He is adorable.
November 29, 2007 at 4:42 pm
whoo hooo!!! Great giveaway, Becky!
LOL My surprise gift is for my 5 nieces and nephews. I am making them “boredom buster” kits for their move from WA to CA. The best part of this is a sock puppet kit. The socks have velcro sewn on them and then googlie eyes, and different puppet pieces to stick on the velcro. They are loads of fun and will definitely keep 5 kids, ages 6 and under, occupied.
Take care, chickie!!!
November 29, 2007 at 5:18 pm
Fun goodies! I hope to give someone special a Scor-Pal. I know she has been eyeing one — so it’s the perfect gift!!
November 29, 2007 at 5:24 pm
Lovely candy!
I am surprising 2 special people this year…
My husband’s vision has been getting worse due to some blood pressure problems and when we are in Bible Study he can no longer read his Scriptures. I have ordered him a large print quad so that we can read together and participate in class.
My second surprise will go to my baby sister who has been wanting a good set of cookware similar to the Pampered Chef cookware that I own. She got married and bought a new house two years ago and always comments on my cookware. I found a set of KitchenAid cookware on Amazon for $89.99 with free shipping so they are sitting in my bedroom floor waiting to be wrapped.
November 29, 2007 at 5:25 pm
Wow! My husband and I are surprising our 8 year old son with a trip to DisneyWorld the day after Christmas!! It has been so hard keeping it a secret since March!
November 29, 2007 at 5:38 pm
I will give my father and my in-laws a costers frame I made with pictures of our daughter. They always love to have recent picture of our little girl!
November 29, 2007 at 5:39 pm
My mother and I are working together this year on the gifts – to ourselves and my sister! We are creating scrapbooks from all the photos of my childhood and my parents’ childhood! It’s going to be such a treat just putting it together! I have all the stuff to create the scrapbooks and my mom has all the important stuff – the names, places and dates – essentially the journaling! Can’t wait to see my sister when she receives her family scrapbook!!!! -Melinda
November 29, 2007 at 5:44 pm
Oh yum! *drool* I’d love to be entered in the giveaway! How de-lish.
This year my surprise gift for hubby is an ant farm. The older he gets the more toys he wants!
November 29, 2007 at 5:56 pm
how fun! we will be getting little amelie all the princess accessories her little heart could desire! she is totally in love with barbie princess and i can’t wait to make her feel like one this christmas!
November 29, 2007 at 5:56 pm
What terrific blog candy. It’s even low in sugar. 🙂
For Christmas, my sports loving adult son is getting his own set of binoculars, so when he next goes out of state for Thanksgiving (instead of coming home to mom’s house for dinner) to see the Colts play the Falcons, he’ll NOT need to borrow dad’s binoculars. I’m HOPING that they’ll be a surprise.
November 29, 2007 at 6:11 pm
We don’t have a lot of money this year so everyone is getting a hot chocolate holder with our first family picture inside. Our baby is a year and a half and I’ve been promising my family for a LONG time that we would get our pictures taken and this year everyone will be surprised! 🙂
November 29, 2007 at 6:23 pm
Gulp…that is yummy candy Becky! We are getting DD anything Dora, my DS a train (he is obsessed) and my DH is getting Top Gear DVDs/books (it’s a car show from the UK which is actually “watchable”! TFS!
November 29, 2007 at 6:36 pm
This is super duper sweet candy here! I can resist candy so I’ll play. My 5 year old nephew has cancer and has had many many brain surgeries since Sept of this year and will be in the hospital until who knows right now. So this would be sweet to win to be able to decorate is room. I have already taken a Christmas Card ornament. He’s a cutie and always has a smile on his face.
Thanks for a chance.

What a wonderful giveaway. Oh surprises, I love surprises. Not sure what surprise I have to give away this year, still thinking. But the one big wonderful surprise I had about 20 months ago was having twins a boy and girl. That’s the best surprise ever, don’t need anymore 🙂
November 29, 2007 at 7:03 pm

November 29, 2007 at 7:10 pm
Oh, what great blog candy! I had just been reading up on those dew drops and drooling. It has been a rough Christmas season for us and we had decided not to get each other presents, but I am surprising my hubby with a Propane Smoker he has been wanting for a long time. I found it at a low price (free shipping and no tax)and can hardly wait to see his face on Christmas morning.
November 29, 2007 at 7:18 pm
Hi
the goodies look great! Who can’t use more! I am making fleece tie blankets and pillows for the children I watch during the day. They all have favorite characters from Thomas the Train, Cinderella to Sesame street and the fabric stores carry all the fleece. A great way to snuggle up.
November 29, 2007 at 7:25 pm
WOW!! Love the candy! My special gift this year to my husband MIGHT be a car! (used though)LOL!! I’m still looking real hard for the right one. He never wants anything and I’m tired of getting him socks!!!
Thanks for the candy!

Ooh, your mantle blocks are GORGEOUS!
I’m giving my MIL/FIL and both SIL/BILs altered double frames with great pics of the “babies” in them (currently the only two grandchildren, one from each SIL) that read “cousins” across the front. I hope they like them!
November 29, 2007 at 7:36 pm
Fabulous blog candy! My DD loves designing paper doll clothes so I have made her a blank book for sketching her designs and of course a new set of colored pencils and fine tip markers.
November 29, 2007 at 7:37 pm

November 29, 2007 at 7:45 pm
Well actually we can’t really buy too many things this year as we would have liked but since I can craft I want to do something very special for my SIL she just had my nephew this past August and I have seen her grow since she was 13 and now she’s 21 and to see her w/her baby is something very dear to me as I see her as my lil sis as well and so I am going to make her, her own Nate Keepsake book.. I will put all my love into it and I hope she loves it as much as I am going to love making it for her 🙂
November 29, 2007 at 7:57 pm

November 29, 2007 at 7:58 pm
Christmas surprises? I’m going to surprise my hubby with a copy of the CARWASH soundtrack. He got it as a birthday gift from his aunt and loved it. He claims that I threw it out the window on a road trip while we were in college. I’ve never even laid eyes on his tape!
Kinda goofy, but it’ll be fun!
November 29, 2007 at 8:29 pm
You have a wonderful blog! I want to surprise my hubby with something special but I haven’t decided exactly what it will be. Does your hubby take forever to decide what he would like for Christmas?

The biggest surprise gift I’m giving is a digital camera to my daughter. She LOVES to take pictures and sometimes she’s pretty decent! So hubby and I found a decent (not super expensive) camera/card/case combo for a nice price (online) and it’s going to be her Santa gift!
November 29, 2007 at 8:44 pm
I simply love those blocks! What a great idea! As far as surprises go, one that I can think of off the top of my head is for my 14 yo ds. He loves football. For the past 2 years, my dh & ds have gone to a college football game by themselves as part of my son’s birthday gift. They always take lots of pictures, so as part of his Christmas gift, I am planning on making him a mini scrapbook using the pictures that they have taken over the past 2 years. By the way, thanks for the chance to win.
November 29, 2007 at 8:47 pm
No special gifts this year since we will be traveling to Florida to spend the holiday with my family there. I have made treasure hunt clues for our teenage girls the last few years with gift cards or cash at the end. They enjoy the hunt as much as spending the $$$! I love the Kitchen sink stamps.
November 29, 2007 at 9:40 pm
Money is tight this year so I’m afraid there won’t be any extravagant surprises. I hope to come up with a small surprise or two for everyone though. I really love what you did with the blocks. It would be awesome to win this blog candy. 🙂
November 29, 2007 at 10:02 pm
WOW!! Great goodies!! I have made about 50 Happy Birthday cards to give to my 93 year old grandma. I’m also including envelopes, stamps, and premade address labels with all of the family’s addresses on it. She loves to send out cards, but can’t get to the store to buy any. I can’t wait to give her this gift!
November 29, 2007 at 10:10 pm
I dont do Christmas but always make birthdays special instead, so I am looking for a WII for my 30 something daughter (she has been begging) and I almost found one, but I am on the hold list now. Her BD was the 28th, so she will maybe get an unbirthday gift.
November 29, 2007 at 10:20 pm
We are going to be giving our kids an XBOX 360, the older one know how expensive they are so he will sooooo not be expecting it. I can’t wait.
Thank you. I Love your blog.

Thansk for the chance for blog candy. Best Holiday Wishes. Molly B.

Hello I am actually new to your site, but have found it so inspiring. I have actually made a few of the card boxes, purses and beaded pens you have on your tutorials for close friends. They are scrapbookers and will be totally surprised and in awe. So thank you for your great ideas! They’re awesome. Happy Holidays.
November 29, 2007 at 11:35 pm
I just love your give-aways!! A wonderful friend of mine has an adorable 5 year old daughter who does and says the sweetest, most unexpected things. I always tell her to get a journal to write the cute things her daughter does and says, but she hasn’t gotten around to it. My surprise to her is a handmade personalized journal for her to write “The Darnest and Cutest Things Jaycee Says & Does.” Well, have yourself a very Merry Christmas!
November 29, 2007 at 11:50 pm
Our big surprise is we are going home for Christmas which we did not think we were able to do so we are going to not tell my dad and surprise him. He will be so thrilled when we show up! -Samantha 🙂

November 30, 2007 at 12:51 am
I don’t have anything especially exciting up my sleeve this year. My daughter & her husband love to ski & last year I won a ski vacation to a fabulous resort with a fireplace & hottub in the room in a radio contest. Since I don’t ski, I was able to give it to my daughter & SIL for Christmas. So it’s hard to top that one:) But I did get my 5 yr. old granddaughter a little pink tv and dvd player for her bedroom & I know she will enjoy that.
November 30, 2007 at 1:00 am
Shhh…don’t tell, we’re going to Disney! For Christmas – going to pack the kids bags, pick them up from school, and head to the airport.
I’ve ordered a tree for our room too. We’ve always talked about visiting for Christmas and this year is it!!
November 30, 2007 at 1:17 am
I will be giving my Mom a Roy Rogers quilt that I hope to finally finish. She will flip out. At least I hope so. By the way I love this project. You did an awesome job. Thanks for the chance to win this set. Angelina
November 30, 2007 at 1:43 am
Fun stuff! I will be getting my son an R2D2 robot. It works on a remote – he loves Star Wars! I can’t wait to see his face! Leeanna
November 30, 2007 at 1:45 am
I’m going to be getting my mom a sewing machine so (orrrrr SEW) she can stitch on all her cards like she has been wanting to for so long! No more hand-stitching!
November 30, 2007 at 2:48 am
I am hoping to give my wonderful husband a Nikon Camera, so he can take beautiful scenic pictures when he goes hiking in the mountains on Oahu in Hawaii. The view from the top is so magnificent. He has been using my Sony so he deserves a better camera for pictures of nature.
Thank you for the chance @ this give away.
November 30, 2007 at 3:03 am

November 30, 2007 at 3:03 am
WOW that’s quite the prize!!!
I’m getting my in-laws a gift that will be ongoing throughout next year. I’m going to be making them a “52 weeks of You” gift where I will be decorating an ATC card with pictures and such of my sons each week throughout next year and giving them a Revolving ATC holder to house them all. They love everything that has to do with their grandboys so I figure this would be a great gift!
November 30, 2007 at 3:23 am
just love the papers! The stamps have me drooling too. Great candy.
November 30, 2007 at 3:23 am
Great giveaway…I am really hopeful as I love this stamp set and the coasters!!!
I found an old outdoor thermometer that came from an old farmhouse in Maine that has our family name on it….My mom is going to get it! She will love it!
Lori
November 30, 2007 at 3:45 am
Wow – you are so talented! The coasters are absolutely gorgeous! I have such a hard time picking out presents for my finance since like tons of men – every time he wants something he just goes out and buys it! I think I am going to plan a little weekend getaway and buy little presents that hint toward it…. 🙂
November 30, 2007 at 4:05 am
wow what a great giveaway… I’m working on something special for my mom since she is having surgery next week and we are not sure how mobil she will be when Christmas gets here
November 30, 2007 at 5:04 am
Hey, Awesome candy! Thanks for sharing!!
Even though I’ve been making Christmas cards since September and been singin carols in the malls for a week, I still haven’t connected with having to BUY stuff for Christmas.
So I’ll tell you of the great surprise from last year…
In my family, we draw names. My husband and I traded names until we got my parents. We bought them a new computer. They were having so much trouble with the old one and had to depend on my brother in law to fix it all the time. So my hubby bought one and set it up for them, No problems all year. (we live in a different province, otherwise, hubby would be the techie for them). That was fun,
Thanks for the candy! and happy fa la la-ing.
November 30, 2007 at 5:30 am
Woohoo! Amazing blog candy. I LOVE what you made with the blocks. The gift I am most excited about giving this year is to my 10 year old niece, Shelby. I am buying her craft stuff…tons of it. Craft bag, Fiskars cutter, stamps, paper, brads, ribbon, glue dots, water color crayons, shimmering chalks and more. I make her little card kits and mail them to her to put the cards together. She loves it so I thought she would love getting supplies so she can make cards any time she wants. I hope she is as excited about it as I am! LOL. Also I can’t wait to see her and my whole family. They live 6 hours away and I miss them terribly. Have a wonderful day!!
November 30, 2007 at 6:26 am
Wow, those acrylic block projects are all amazing, thanks so much for sharing!!! My parents had their 25th wedding anniversary a couple years ago, and my sister and I threw them a surprise party. They never did anything with the pictures, so I’m making a very special album with pictures of both my parents spanning the 25 years, as a special commerative gift for them to go through. The album is finished, just need to find the right pictures to fill in.

Last year I made each of my kids oversized pillows to match their rooms and just lounge on–but my husband loves to snooze on them….so he is getting his own “man pillow” this year.
Great giveaway and love your projects!!

The surprise gifts this year for my kids will be coming from my MIL. Christmas is SOOO important to her–that I helped her get something very high on each of my children’s list. Yes–I went out at 5:00 am to stand in Black Friday lines to do this for her. But, she is the nicest MIL I could ask for. Also, her budget is a wee bit higher than mine. DS is getting a Digital Camcorder, DD is getting an MP3 player, and little dd is getting a fort. FUN! FUN! FUN!!

First surprise – I’m NOT asking for ANYTHING this year! LOL! Second, my wonderful DH will be getting noise cancelling headphones for all those flights he takes and an IPOD. Third, I’m getting my Mom a new cell phone!!
Love the ideas with the coasters, Becky! Beaut-ee-mos!

Tks for the chance of winning such great blog candy. This year I am going to surprise my daughter with an official Montreal Canadiens Jersey that I have ordered for her. She is such a big hockey fan and has really wanted one of these. She may just sleep with it on.

Awesome giveaway!! Thank you for the chance to get stamping stuff free (I spend way too much). I have decided to surprise my G-daugher with a massage gift certificate. She works so hard to take care of her family and gives so much to everyone else I want to give her something she will really enjoy.

What lovely candy! I love what you’ve created with these blocks. Very uncluttered and elegant looking. I’m making a lot of nugget tins and monogrammed note cards for anyone and everyone this Christmas. Plus a lot of home decor items for the tweens in my life.

My 3 kids are really into my stamping and scrapbooking lately so I’m buying each of them a scrapbook kit and some of their own stamps and ink. I think they’ll love to have their own stuff! Thanks for the chance! {SMILES}

I am getting my fiance hand made crystal tumblers from Nova Scotian crystal. Every day I walk past the store and see the master craftsmen at work. I am writing an article on it 🙂 Truly a lost art and we are so fortunate to witness it daily.

OH!!! I just love those stamps – so versatile. My big surprise will be for my husband this year. He has wanted a classic mustang for 10 years and finally found one we could get this past month. He plays in the car everynight 😉 It’s in remarkable shape, but the steering wheel is off colored…I’m sure from sun fading. Anyway, I have found the perfect baby blue steering whell original to his 1966 car! He is going to flip!
