ssnotime56 “Exquisitely Elegant with Sharon Johnson”
I have shamelessly hijacked Sharon’s challenge this week to put the well-deserved focus onto HER!! I just knew we couldn’t go through spotlighting the whole team without focussing a day on our “fearless leader!”
Sharon’s style is simply exquisite. There is not one project on her blog in which when you view it for the first time your jaw doesn’t end up on the floor! There are a couple of things that stand out in Sharon’s elegant style.
Stamps: Sharon tends to use a lot of bird stamps, or stamps which reflect elegance in nature.
Ribbon: Sharon uses wide ribbon and lots of it. It could be satin and grosgrain, but mostly it is always a nice wide size. She uses ribbon with wire on gifts and even doubles up on ribbon if it is smaller in width and monochromatic in hues, but different textures such as satin and shear together.
Paper: Sharon will use designer paper, although when she does it is rarely only one pattern, although mostly always in the same color families. She tends to mix her papers subtely using her ribbon to seperate the different patterns.
Embellies: Sharon loves to use embossing folders and things like butterfly punches. She uses long pins with beads in large prima flowers so beautifully.
So your challenge is to create a card (Sharon’s favorite size is 5.5 x 5.5) using stamps inspired by nature and to use a wide ribbon or if you do not have a wide ribbon, use thinner ribbon but two different styles (shear and satin) in the same color family.
The other embellishments you can shoose for yourself!
